Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 9 housemate Wanni has publicly apologized to her fellow housemate Onyeka following a recent altercation that led to a heated argument. The conflict began when Onyeka accused Wanni of gossiping about her, which provoked a strong reaction from Wanni.
During their confrontation, Wanni, visibly distressed, called Onyeka a “childish b*tch,” a remark that drew criticism from her twin sister, Handi. Handi advised Wanni to approach the situation with more composure.
Heeding her sister’s advice, Wanni has since apologized to Onyeka, focusing on her use of the derogatory term. In her apology, Wanni acknowledged her emotional outburst and expressed regret for her harsh words. She explained that her frustration came from feeling hurt by someone she views as a friend and committed to improving her emotional management in the future.
In Wanni’s words: “I got very mad, that was why I used ‘B’ word and because I consider us friends. And when my friends do something to me, I get very emotional.
“From the start, I shouldn’t have come at you like that. You were mad and you had every right to say what you said. I should have explained to you. When I came back to call you ‘B’ word, I’m very sorry about that.
“I’m still working on controlling my emotions. And by God’s grace I will achieve it. I shouldn’t have called you the ‘B’ word. I shouldn’t have spoken to you the way I responded to you at the table. This week has been weird and I felt it. Moving forward, maybe we will spend time with you guys and you guys will understand me more. I’m very very peaceful. Extremely peaceful. Trust me, Onyeka, if I have something to say to you, I will say it in your front. I don’t go behind people to say something. I’m not like that.”
Onyeka, upon hearing Wanni’s apology, accepted it.
