Hair vendor Wanneka has addressed rumors about her relationship with fashion designer Veekee James, denying any sense of competition between them.
The controversy arose from a leaked WhatsApp conversation where Wanneka discussed Veekee James and her husband just before her own wedding. In the conversation, she commented on the personal life of Veekee James’ husband and mentioned not being invited to their wedding.
Clarifying their relationship, Wanneka emphasized that she and the designer were never close friends but rather had a sisterly bond. She asserted that being in her second marriage, comparisons between herself and Veekee James were unwarranted.
Wanneka also highlighted her success, stating she is too financially secure to view herself in competition with those less accomplished than her.
