Gaza Hospital Overwhelmed As Israeli Strikes Kill 71 Persons, Hundreds Injured

Health officials at the hospital on Saturday said that the facility is “no longer able to function” due to the sheer volume of patients needing urgent care.

At least 71 Palestinians were killed and 289 others injured after an attack on Saturday hit a camp for war-displaced individuals in Khan Younis, southern Gaza.

Meanwhile, Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis is facing an unprecedented crisis as it struggles to cope with an overwhelming influx of casualties.

Health officials at the hospital on Saturday said that the facility is “no longer able to function” due to the sheer volume of patients needing urgent care.

Health officials at Nasser Medical Complex, once Gaza’s largest operating hospital, reported that the intensity of Israel’s military offensive and severe shortages in medical supplies have left doctors unable to provide adequate care for the numerous casualties.

Gaza’s health ministry told Reuters that Nasser hospital had received 20 bodies and 90 injured people as a result of an Israeli attack in Khan Younis.

However, the ministry didn’t give a final figure of victims moved to other medical facilities.
