Nigerian footballer Kayode Olanrenwaju has reportedly initiated divorce proceedings against his estranged wife, Dora Ezinne, at the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja.
He is also seeking custody of their children. Olanrenwaju has requested the court to award him ₦1 billion in damages, citing mental anguish, financial loss, and strained relationships allegedly caused by Ezinne’s “adulterous affair” with Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, based in the UK.
The footballer’s cross-petition names Ezinne as the Respondent and Pastor Tobi as the Co-Respondent. The couple has faced ongoing issues, including accusations of infidelity, which escalated when Ezinne filed a lawsuit against Olanrenwaju.
Olanrenwaju further claimed that Ezinne abducted their children, who were later rescued by officials from the Department of State Services (DSS). He also accused her of sabotaging their joint business ventures.
A hearing on this matter is scheduled for September 24, 2024.
