The Bauchi State police command has arrested Bala Mohammed for luring and raping two girls, aged 16 and 17, in his room. All three individuals, including the suspect and the victims, reside in the Unguwar Mahaukata Quarters in the Bauchi metropolis.
According to a press statement issued on Friday by the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, the suspect enticed the two girls with N500.
“On the 22nd June 2024 at about 1500hrs, one Abubakar Danladi aged 43-year-old and one Umar Ismail aged 65-year-old of Unguwan Mahaukata Bauchi, reported at A’ Divisional Police Headquarters, that one Bala Mohammed aged 67-year-old lured their daughters with ages between 26 and 17 years, both of same address into his room and had carnal knowledge of them,” he said.
In a related development, the police also arrested one Abubakar Nuhu for inhuman treatment of his, five-year-old Hussaini Abubakar.
