In Ikorodu, Lagos State, a 47-year-old man named Olatubosun Fayakinnu has been remanded in a correctional centre by a Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly engaging in sexual assault with another man.
Fayakinnu, whose address was not disclosed, faces charges of sexual assault by penetration and forcefully engaging in sexual activities with a man.
Chief Magistrate Mrs. A.B. Olagbegi-Adelabu presided over the case and did not take the suspect’s plea. The case was adjourned until August 8 for legal advice from the office of the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
According to the Prosecuting Counsel, ASP Aminu Isaac, the offences were committed on June 24 around 11:30 am at No. 20, Island Avenue, Iloti Olunla, Agbede in the Agric area of Ikorodu. Fayakinnu allegedly hired a 25-year-old man to work for him, then lured and engaged him in sexual activity inside his room. The prosecutor also stated that the hired man reportedly went blind after the sexual encounter with the defendant.
