Hajj Update: First Batch of Kwara Pilgrims (313) Arrive in Ilorin

The first group of Muslim pilgrims from Kwara State returned from Saudi Arabia on Friday after completing this year’s hajj pilgrimage. A total of 313 pilgrims arrived at Babatunde Idiagbon International Airport in Ilorin aboard Air Peace flight APK 7911.

The pilgrims were accompanied by two female officials from the State’s Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Hajia Hassana Ahmed and Hajia Otunyo Habibat.

Prof. Mashood Mahmud-Jimba, the chairman of the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, confirmed that the remaining pilgrims would be airlifted according to the schedule set by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

Earlier, a total of 3,102 pilgrims from Kwara State had embarked on the holy pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia this year.
