Fire on late Thursday night razed shops and goods in the popular Abuja market located in Karu.
Karu is one of the major satellite towns located within the Abuja Municipal Area Council of FCT.
New Telegraph gathered that the fire started from the informal section of the market and moved to the locked up shops section.
Jubril Babangoshi, a former aide to a one time AMAC Chairman, who also said he own shops in the market confirmed that the situation was demoralizing.
He stated that while Firemen arrived some few minutes after the fire started, it was difficult gaining access to the market.
