Former Konga CEO Nick Imudia tragically ended his own life on the night of Tuesday, June 25. Imudia, who was the CEO of D.light, a company known for its residential solar energy solutions, committed suicide by jumping from the balcony of his apartment in Lekki, Lagos.
Before his death, Imudia called his brother in the US, giving instructions on how to distribute his wealth, and spoke to his young daughter from a previous relationship, reassuring her that he would always be with her in spirit.
Friends, family, and associates are in shock, unable to understand why he took his own life. Nick Imudia, from Ika South local government area of Delta State, was previously married to the mother of his daughter, but the marriage ended due to irreconcilable differences. He later married a Caucasian woman, and those close to him believed he had found happiness.
Imudia’s career included positions with TCL/Alcatel as a regional director and Microsoft Device and Services as the GM/MD for West and Central Africa before his tenure at Konga.
