At Davido’s wedding, a video captured the moment when the singer humorously requested Bitcoin as a wedding gift from guests who preferred not to spray cash.
During the event, MC Ebuka Obi-Uchendu informed the attendees that they could gift in pounds, euros, or dollars.
Davido, taking the microphone, playfully announced that he also accepts Bitcoin transfers as a wedding gift. He emphasized his preference for immediate transfers over promises of cash for the next day, stating,
“I’m accepting Bitcoin as a gift if you can’t spray naira and I don’t want promises of ‘I’ll give you tomorrow,’ I don’t want that one.”
He assured guests that his Bitcoin wallet was open and ready for transfers.
