A tragic dispute over farmland in Adamawa State has resulted in the deaths of two brothers.
The incident occurred when Mali Emmanuel, embroiled in a disagreement with the victims over a controversial piece of land located in Bori, Jada LGA, fired a gun at them during a confrontation.
The Adamawa State Police Command has apprehended Mali Emmanuel, the suspected killer, and clarified that the altercation escalated into a fatal confrontation.
“During the altercation, Emmanuel used his dane gun and shot the victims, leading to their unfortunate death,” the police said in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Nguroje.
Nguroje added that the 31-year-old Mali Emmanuel who is a vigilante man, was arrested “for firing and killing of Emmanuel Hamma Shehu and Almond Hamma Shehu, all residents of Bori village, Koma District of Jada Local Government Area.”
He said further investigations were continuing, after which the suspect would be charged for prosecution.
