Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, submitted the names of 13 nominees for Commissioner positions to the Bayelsa State House of Assembly on Wednesday. Speaker Abraham Ingobere read out the list during the day’s plenary session.
Earlier in April, Governor Diri had sent the first batch of 14 nominees, bringing the total number of nominees to 27 for his cabinet. The Assembly, chaired by the Speaker, scheduled the screening and confirmation of the additional 13 nominees for Thursday, June 20, 2024.
The nominees include Hon. Alfred Watson Belemote, Chief Thompson Amule, Prof. Seiyefa Brisibe, Hon. Ebi Ben Ololo Hon. West Alalibo Geku Godspower and Mandy Sylvanus Akpalo.
Others are; Prof. Bekei Sese, Alfred Kemepado Nimizigha, Dr. Faith Izibenua Zibs, Onuma Johnson, Chief Godspower Oporomo and John Alah.
