Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has called on Muslims to reflect on the profound lessons of Eid-El-Kabir, the festival of sacrifice. He urged them to strengthen their devotion and remain steadfast in following the will of Allah.
Governor Bago also appealed to the residents of Niger State to continue supporting his administration by praying for enhanced security and peace within the state and across Nigeria.
In his Eid-El-Kabir message, conveyed by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, in Minna, the Governor highlighted the importance of the festival to Muslims. He called on them to embrace the virtues of love, obedience, and sacrifice exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (A.S.).
The Governor encouraged Muslims to use the occasion to promote harmonious co-existence, deepen their faith, and remain dedicated to Allah’s will. He prayed that Allah would accept their prayers and sacrifices, and bless their daily lawful activities abundantly.
Governor Bago reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to building a New Niger characterized by peace, unity, economic prosperity, growth, and development for the benefit of all residents.
He wished all Nigerlites on pilgrimage a successful journey, urging them to pray for the state’s peace, unity, and development, and to be good ambassadors while in the holy land.
