The Chief Executive Officer of Gtext Group and Investment Limited, Dr Stephen Akintayo, has faulted Nigerians rejoicing over President Bola Tinubu’s fall.
In a post on his official X account, @drsakintayo said it is unfair for some people to mock the President.
He said: “I was ashamed to See Some Nigerians Rejoicing their President fell. I Am not A Fan of President Tinubu type of Politics but to scorn him now that he is the president is to scorn myself.
“Like it or not he is the president for the next three more years. Let’s wish him well in these years remaining because if anything bad happens to him, we Nigerians will suffer it first.
“The Bible encourage us to wish our leaders well. We all owe it to Nigeria to support the president. How many times have you seen Americans Mock Joe Biden like people did Tinubu?
“His opponent do that because of politics but average American don’t rush to scorn their president the way some Nigerians did on social media.
“Joe Biden has fallen many times, it comes with old age. We have to all face our president is old and not physical that strong.
“It’s part of why I supported a younger candidate of peter obi but Tinubu is president now, let’s learn to face the reality of that for our collective sake. May God Bless Nigeria and Mr President.”
