EPL: Ten Hag Sets Conditions for New Man Utd Contract

According to the UK Sun, Erik ten Hag has outlined three demands before agreeing to sign a new contract with Manchester United. Talks between both parties are underway following a season-end review, during which United reaffirmed their commitment to Ten Hag despite considering other managerial options.

The Dutchman’s conditions include requiring an apology from Jadon Sancho before considering his return to the first-team squad. Sancho had criticized Ten Hag last season and was subsequently loaned to Borussia Dortmund, with an anticipated departure this summer.

Ten Hag also aims to retain control over the team’s playing style, pushing back against suggestions from technical director Jason Wilcox. Additionally, he seeks to renew the contract of forwards coach Benni McCarthy, who expressed a desire to continue with the club despite his current contract nearing its end.
