BREAKING: Supreme Court reserves judgment in dispute over LG autonomy

The Supreme Court on Thursday reserved its judgment in the suit filed by the Federal Government, represented by the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), against various states concerning the autonomy of Local Governments.

A seven-member panel, led by Justice Mohammed Lawal Garba, announced that the date for the judgment will be communicated to the parties and their counsel.

Justice Garba made this announcement following the adoption of final addresses and submissions by the lawyers representing the parties.
