Primate Ayodele: Nigerians' Choice of Bad Leaders Cannot Be Solved by Prayer Alone

The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, asserted on Tuesday that fasting and prayers alone cannot alleviate Nigeria’s economic hardships as the country’s leaders are the root cause of the issues.

Primate Ayodele stated that God is no longer responsive to Nigerians’ pleas regarding hardship because they elected leaders who are now exacerbating their struggles.

In a statement released by his Media Aide, Oluwatosin Osho, Ayodele emphasized that Nigerians have disregarded the truth, and unless leaders take appropriate actions, God will not intervene to alleviate the economic challenges.

He dismissed the notion that prayers alone could alleviate hardship, stating, “Anyone who suggests praying to solve hardship is merely deceiving themselves.”

Primate Ayodele stressed, “We have failed to confront reality,” and cautioned that divine intervention will not address Nigeria’s economic woes without tangible efforts from its leaders.

“We don’t listen to the truth and we are far away from it. God will not come down to make things for us, the system is shutting down but God will not come down to help us.’’

The man of God explained that God warned Nigerians against voting another APC government, but they didn’t listen. Therefore, Nigerians are facing the consequences of disobedience.

“God warned us but we didn’t follow his will so we have to face the consequence of our disobedience which is hardship and anguish, we are only paying for our disobedience.’’

Continuing, Primate Ayodele asserted that if the government organizes millions of prophets to pray about hardship, nothing will happen because the issues at hand are results of human errors and incapacity.

“Let the government organize 10 million prophets, Islamic clerics and traditional rulers to pray about what is happening, nothing will change except the leaders do the right thing and all that is needed. Let’s stop deceiving ourselves with prayers, every sector is a mess, people have been praying and fasting but nothing is happening.

“The issues we are facing are the result of human errors and incapacity; we can’t solve these issues through fasting and prayers. Nigerian problems have passed what prayers can solve,’’ he added.
