Guards Brigade Deployed to National Assembly Ahead of Tinubu's Appearance

Despite the conflicting statements from media aides of President Bola Tinubu, the Guards Brigades have arrived at the House of Representatives for the joint session.

The advance team arrived at approximately 10:47 am while the plenary session was underway.

It’s worth noting the contradictory statements issued by Bayo Onanuga and Ajuri Ngelale regarding the president’s appearance.

However, the Green Chamber is prepared for the joint session, as the House has initiated a motion to admit “non-members” into the chamber.

The motion was proposed by the Leader of the House, Julius Ihonvbere, and seconded by the Minority Leader, Kingsley Chinda.

Earlier, the Deputy Speaker, Ben Kalu, announced that the Speaker, Tajudeen Abbas, and Senate President Godswill Akpabio are engaged in a meeting concerning the planned joint session.

While everything appears to be in place for the president’s attendance, there remains uncertainty regarding whether he will indeed be present.
