Nollywood is in mourning following the reported passing of top scriptwriter and director, Reginald Ebere.
Reports of Ebere’s demise have been circulating on social media platforms.
According to a report from Leadership News, veteran movie star Segun Arinze broke the news of Reginald Ebere’s passing on the Nollywood Giants, a WhatsApp platform created for renowned Nigerian entertainers. Arinze expressed his sorrow over the loss of the esteemed screenwriter.
Perekeme Odon, the National Secretary of the Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN), was also reported by Leadership to have confirmed the sad news.
“We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of our dear brother and colleague, Mr. Reginald Ebere,” Perekeme Odon.
It would be recalled that the scriptwriter had been bedridden for some time now and some veteran movie stars had called for donations to be made for his hospital bills.
