At an event titled “Honouring the Youth of Our Nation” themed “Becoming: Pathway to Success,” marking President Bola Tinubu’s first anniversary in office, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu reassured Nigerians, especially the youth, to maintain their faith in the country. She expressed confidence in Nigeria’s potential to emerge as a renewed nation on the global stage.
Speaking at the State House Conference Center in Abuja, the First Lady pledged the government’s commitment to creating a conducive environment for youth participation in national development. She highlighted the importance of purpose, passion, determination, and resilience in achieving success in life.
Emphasizing the significance of education, she outlined the objectives of her pet project, the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), aimed at supporting President Tinubu’s initiatives in education, agriculture, social investment, and economic empowerment.
She said, “Stay in school, finish school because we are a developing country. When you stay and finish your education, you will have more options.
“We will continue to do our best to provide an enabling environment to foster and support you as active participants in national development and in re-writing Nigeria’s story for good.
“I urge us to keep believing in Nigeria, by the special grace of God, we will witness the rebirth of a new nation that will take its rightful place among the comity of Nations.“
