Senegalese-American singer Akon recently shared his thoughts on two of the biggest names in Afrobeat, ranking Davido over his well-known rival Wizkid.
In an interview, Akon was asked to choose between Davido and Wizkid. He responded by saying that he often gets into trouble for commenting on Davido, but ultimately chose him.
When the interviewer pointed out that Davido is known for his energetic vocal style, Akon agreed and even mimicked some of Davido’s shouts, referring to him as the “ultimate shouter.”
This description did not sit well with some of Davido’s fans, who expressed their displeasure in the comment section.
