President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Lagos to flag off the construction of the Lagos-Calabar highway.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other government officials welcomed Tinubu at the Murtala Muhammed Airport.
Olusegun Dada, Tinubu’s Special Assistant on Social Media, stated that the president would inaugurate several projects ahead of his first anniversary in office.
On Friday, Minister of Works Dave Umahi announced that Tinubu would commence the highway’s construction on May 26.
During a meeting with Yoruba leaders at the State House in Abuja, Tinubu emphasized his administration’s commitment to making a positive impact on Nigerians. He declared that the country is transitioning from “bleeding” to prosperity, reflecting on the past 12 months as “fulfilling” despite challenges.
