There has been an accident involving two commercial vehicles along the Lokoja/Kabba Road in Kogi state.
The vehicles, traveling in opposite directions, reportedly collided when one attempted to overtake a truck, crashing into the oncoming vehicle.
The exact number of casualties remains unclear as rescue efforts continue at the scene. This situation is reminiscent of a high-stakes chess game where a single miscalculated move can lead to catastrophic results.
Samuel Oyedeji, the state sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, confirmed the incident and noted that the rescue operation is still in progress.
“I have not been properly briefed so I cannot give you further details as to the casualty figure. Rescue operation is still ongoing, I will issue a statement as soon as I get briefed by my men on the scene” he said.
