Former presidential social media aide, Reno Omokri, has faulted the decision of former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, to visit the family of late Nigerian actor, Junior Pope.
In a post on his official X account, @RenoOmokri questioned why Obi did not visit the family of Adamawa woman killed by gunmen in Anambra in 2022.
He said: “These are the bodies of Harira Jubril, a pregnant Arewa woman from Adamawa, and her four underaged children.
“It is commendable that Peter Obi visited the family of Junior Pope. But why did he not also pay a similar condolence visit to the family of Harira Jubril, who was killed in Anambra on Sunday, May 22, 2022, by unknown gunmen in broad daylight, with her four underaged daughters, Fatima, 9; Khadijah, 7; Hadiza, 5; and Zaituna, 2.
“Is it because she and her children were ‘Mallam’ and ‘Aboki’ in Peter’s eyes and therefore only worthy of his Yes Daddy “religious war”?
“Peter Obi’s pattern of treating Northerners and other Nigerians from outside the Southeast differently from how he treats those either from or connected to Igboland is unbecoming of a man aspiring to be Nigeria’s President.”
