Bet on Gobet as Chelsea look to clinch Euro ticket

Chelsea’s season looked like petering out into another mid-table disappointment, but Mauricio Pochettino’s side are finally displaying their potential and they should finish the campaign with a home win over Bournemouth. Place your bet here

A 5-0 loss at title-chasing Arsenal has been the only occasion in the last 14 matches that the Blues have found themselves on the losing side and they should be buoyed by four consecutive victories at Stamford Bridge.

Pochettino has a young side but they have begun to step up to the plate and they are in a strong position to guarantee they will be playing in Europe next season, something that appeared to be a distant dream only a couple of months ago.

Exciting attacking football has become their trademark and there should be plenty of optimism that after a couple of mediocre seasons, the future looks bright.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, will be able to reflect on a job well done as their top-flight safety has been guaranteed for some time and there has been no sweat like there was 12 months ago when they did not avoid relegation until the penultimate week.

Manager Andoni Iraola took time to settle into the English game after joining from Rayo Vallecano, but a mid-table finish represents a strong season and they have shown they will not sit back and allow themselves to be dominated on the road.

They lost 3-0 at the Emirates in their last away game but that was only the second time this term that they have failed to score on their travels.

Dominic Solanke was on the mark again in their 2-1 home defeat to Brentford last week, taking his league tally to 19, and they possess enough of a threat to find the net at Stamford Bridge, so take Chelsea to win and both teams to score.

A 3-1 home victory may be of interest to correct-score punters with Chelsea having scored 22 times in their last six home games.

Cole Palmer has been the star player for Chelsea this season with 22 league goals, the latest of which came in their 2-1 win at Brighton on Wednesday.

He has had 23 efforts on goal in his last five matches, so he is plainly still hungry to add to his tally and he could do that in their final game of the campaign
