In Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State, several public properties, including electric poles, wires, and cables, suffered damage due to heavy rainfall experienced in various parts of the ancient city on Thursday.
The affected areas, such as Jericho and Akala Expressway, witnessed destruction of electric infrastructure, including poles, wires, and cables during the downpour in Jericho. Additionally, a substantial billboard was demolished along Akala Expressway.
Earlier reports had indicated that passengers and commuters traveling along the University of Ibadan-Ojoo Road were left stranded as a result of a collapsed billboard at Ajibode junction.
