Napoli prepare to take on Fiorentina in the Italian Serie A Friday, but may do so without their key striker, Victor Osimhen, who is currently sidelined with a muscle strain.
Osimhen, the Nigerian International, has been undergoing separate training sessions from the team since the injury occurred earlier this week. His regimen has included therapy and personalized gym sessions since Monday.
However, reports from the team camp suggest that Osimhen’s chances of participating in the upcoming match against Fiorentina are slim.
Despite this setback, there is optimism that he will recover in time to join the Super Eagles squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin.
