The Ibadan Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced the arrest of 64 suspected internet fraudsters and the recovery of 18 vehicles in Osun State.
Dele Oyewale, the Head of Media and Publicity for EFCC revealed this information in a statement released to the press on Friday in Ibadan.
According to Oyewale, the arrests took place on Wednesday in Ede, following actionable intelligence concerning the suspects’ suspicious activities in the area.
Among the items recovered from the suspects were 18 exotic vehicles, 18 laptops, 112 mobile phones, and three Play Station games. Additionally, five motorcycles and various incriminating documents were seized.
Oyewale stated that the suspects would face charges in court upon the completion of investigations.
