The Niger State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has apprehended a gang of four criminals implicated in incidents of manhood mutilation, rape, assault, and other illicit activities in Pandogari, Rafi Local Government Area of the state.
The Commandant of the Corps, Joachim Okafor, parading the suspects at the command’s headquarters, said the gang confessed to having cut off the minors’ manhood and for raping the 13-year-old girl, to enable them to acquire charms to make them invincible, and for fortification against any kind of ammunition.
“This 2-year-old boy’s manhood was cut off by the four criminal gang, who also abducted a 13-year-old girl, and took turns raping her to fulfil the condition to make them fortified against all kinds of arms and ammunition.
“The arrested suspects are 33-year-old Rabiu Murtala, 20-year-old Aliyu Amiru, 19-year-old Suleiman Gambo and 22-year-old Yusufa Murtala”.
Nemesis finally caught up with the gang two years after their crime, prompted by the escape of the 13-year-old girl who reported the atrocities to her school principal. The command revealed that the girl had been drugged before the suspects assaulted her.
The father of the mutilated boy, Rabiu Aminu, shares a painful connection with the perpetrators as family friends. He appeals for assistance, seeking surgery to restore his son’s manhood and enable him to lead a normal life. Meanwhile, the father of the disabled 13-year-old girl seeks justice for his daughter.
The gang leader, 33-year-old Rabiu Murtala, attributes their actions to deception by a herbalist promising invincibility against weapons. He disclosed receiving payment of 5 thousand Naira for providing the mutilated organ.
Despite the herbalist, Baba Sada, being at large, authorities pledge vigorous efforts to apprehend him and ensure justice prevails, promising not to let the case be buried.
