Edo police arrest native doctor who killed neighbour

The Edo State Police Command has arrested a 26-year-old native doctor named Chukwuyem Jonah and two others for the alleged murder of Miss Faith Omodon.

Faith was a 200-level student at Delta State University, Agbor, Delta State. She was declared missing on April 4th in the Iru Egbede community, Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State, after she went to the farm and never returned.

The Commissioner of Police, Funsho Adegboye, paraded the native doctor, his accomplices, and 11 other suspects. Godspower Chukwuedo, 23, and Christopher Nwachukwu, 22, were named as the native doctor’s accomplices.

Edward Omodon, the father of the deceased, described the incident as unfortunate.

“I know Chukwuyem Jonah very well; we stayed together. I see him every day,” he said.

“I want justice. I want them to pay for the killing of my daughter. I don’t want my daughter to die like that without any action from the government,” he added.
