Edo guber: Orbih reconsiders, accepts membership of campaign council – PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said its National Vice Chairman (South-South) Chief Dan Orbih, has accepted to serve in the Edo State governorship campaign council.

Orbih had protested the constitution of the campaign council and rejected his inclusion.

But the party after its 586th National Working Committee (NEC) meeting on Tuesday, said Orbih, despite his initial displeasure over the constitution of the Edo State Campaign Council.

“reconsidered and accepted his inclusion and membership of the Council.”

It urged “the people of Edo State to continue in their massive support and solidarity to our party and governorship candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo ahead of the September 21, 2024 governorship election in the state.

PDP in a statement by the National Publicity Secretary Debo Ologunagba, also disclosed that a stakeholders’ meeting would be convened for the reconstitution of “an all-inclusive new caretaker committee for the Ebonyi State chapter with a view to bringing all stakeholders in the state together.
