Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, extended assurances of full cooperation from both the state government and its people to Brig Gen MCE Ejike, the newly-posted Commander of Sector 2 North-East Joint Taskforce Operation Hadin Kai.
This commitment was made during their meeting on Monday, where the governor welcomed the new commander.
“We are collectively in the fight against insecurity, and I want to assure you of the cooperation of the state government, traditional, community, and opinion leaders, and the entire people of the state,” he said.
Buni conveyed his contentment with the collaborative efforts among the various security agencies in Yobe State, expressing optimism that the newly-appointed commander would further enhance security measures throughout the state.
In response, Brig Gen Ejike stated his purpose for visiting the governor’s office, emphasizing his intention to engage with Governor Buni as the state’s chief security officer.
“I am here to ensure that, Yobe State is secure,” he said.
Until his posting to Sector 2 as commander, Brig Gen Ejike was the Brigade Commander of 25 Brigade, Damboa, Borno State.
