Hon. Daniel Amos, the representative for Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has verified the assault carried out by bandits resulting in the tragic loss of six lives in the Ambe community of Sanga Local Government Area, Kaduna State.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Hon. Daniel Amos expressed deep sorrow over the attack that occurred during the late hours, targeting the peaceful inhabitants of the area. He further revealed that eight individuals sustained injuries during the incident.
While condemning the attack, Hon. Amos said, “The brutal attack by suspected bandits claimed the lives of six innocent people, while eight others sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment.
“I strongly condemn this heinous act, which is another attempt to destabilize the peace and security in my constituency and our dear state. It is unacceptable that our people cannot live in peace without fear of being attacked by these criminal elements.”
He called on all residents of Sanga LGA to remain calm and peaceful, as they work towards finding a lasting solution to the insecurity in the area.
“We must continue to promote peaceful coexistence among our diverse communities, irrespective of our differences.
“I also call on the security agencies to act swiftly to apprehend the perpetrators of this evil act and bring them to justice. The safety of our people must remain a top priority. We cannot allow the criminals to continue to operate with impunity,” he said.
He pledged his steadfast commitment to the constituents, vowing to persist in his efforts to foster development within the constituency. Additionally, he emphasized his dedication to collaborating with relevant stakeholders to safeguard the welfare and security of the people.
Hon. Daniel Amos extended his deepest sympathies to the bereaved families, the Arak chiefdom, Sanga Local Government, and the government of Kaduna State. He also offered prayers for the swift recovery of those injured in the tragic incident.
