Sokoto State Police Command has arrested two suspected serial cellphones and motorcycles snatchers in Sokoto Metropolis.
The Command disclosed this in a statement issued Sunday night in Sokoto. Due to the recent incessant robberies especially snatching of cellphones and motorcycles within Sokoto metropolis and other identified areas in the State.
The Sokoto State Commissioner of Police, CP Ali Hayatu Kaigama Psc,ordered a serious manhunt for criminal elements who are terrorizing innocent civilians.
This order has yielded positive results as the Command Striking Force led by Inspector Murtala Garba (Zeco), upon a tip off, arrested one Shafiu muhammad aka Dayo and Sadiq Rufai aka Sagi both of kofar Atiku Area Sokoto.
The suspects, during interrogation, confessed that they have snatched so many Cellphones from their owners within Sokoto Metropolis.
Effort is in progress for possible arrest of other accomplice who usually buy the Cellphones from them after snatching.
