Three members of Zamfara State’s local security outfit, Community Protection Guard (CPG), lost their lives in a recent assault by armed bandits.
The incident occurred in the Jambako district of Maradun Local Government Area. Muhammad Jambako, a local resident, reported that the bandits ambushed the CPG operatives near Faru community, seizing their weapons and motorcycles.
This attack has instilled fear and concern in neighboring communities.
Despite attempts to reach the State Police command’s spokesman, ASP Yazid Abubakar, no response was obtained at the time of reporting.
