Jerry Amilo, a seasoned Nollywood actor, has issued an apology to fans who felt dismayed by his recent social media post, which featured the deceased colleague Junior Pope.
Amilo had previously shared a video on social media depicting the lifeless body of Junior Pope lying in a hospital setting. This action stirred criticism from fans who found it insensitive.
In response to the backlash, Amilo has now offered his sincere apologies.
“It was never my intention to post the video for clout,” he explained.
The incident comes in the wake of the tragic passing of Junior Pope, who, along with three others, lost his life on Wednesday when their boat capsized on the Anam River in Anambra State while returning from a film shoot.
