Bayer Leverkusen’s manager, Xabi Alonso, has announced that Victor Boniface has fully recovered from his injury.
Boniface recently returned to the pitch after a three-month absence due to an adductor injury. The 23-year-old made two substitute appearances against Fortuna Dusseldorf and Union Berlin.
Alonso mentioned that the forward might earn his first start of the year for the Bundesliga leaders in Thursday night’s UEFA Europa League match against West Ham United.
“Adam Hlozek is injured from the weekend. Matej will play in goal. Boniface is fully fit to play, so he could be used from the start tomorrow,” the Spanish manager told a press conference.
The Nigeria international has registered four goals and one assist in five appearances for Die Werkself in the Europa League this season.
