Gary Lineker, former Barcelona striker, believes that Arsenal’s potential Premier League triumph this season is fate, attributing it to the influence of Gunners legend Ian Wright.
With Arsenal leading the Premier League table following their 3-0 victory over Brighton on Saturday evening, Lineker sees a symbolic connection to Wright’s legacy.
However, Liverpool could claim the top spot if they defeat Manchester United on Sunday evening.
Speaking after the analysis of Brighton vs Arsenal on the BBC Show on Saturday, Lineker said: “Picture the scene, last day of the season.
“Arsenal need a win to win the title on the very last ever Match of the Day that Ian Wright is on. It’s written in the stars, bro!”
