Residents of the Ijeun Titun area in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State, are gripped with fear following the murder of Olumide Ifeoluwa, popularly known as Tescom, a member of the Aye confraternity group.
Ifeoluwa fell victim to suspected members of the Eiye cult group on Sunday evening, escalating tensions in the ongoing supremacy battle among various cult groups in Ogun State.
Our correspondent reports that the cult clash, which commenced in 2022, has claimed the lives of over 50 individuals across the state.
Eyewitnesses from Ifeoluwa’s community revealed that the assailants, arriving in an unmarked Toyota Corolla, unleashed a hail of bullets, fatally shooting Ifeoluwa in the head while he was breaking his fast.
A disturbing image of Ifeoluwa lying lifeless on the ground, with his head obliterated and brain scattered, has been circulating on social media platforms.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Omolola Odutola, stated, “One Olumide Danish Ifeloluwa ‘Tescom’ was shot in the head by unidentified gunmen in an ash-colored Corolla with no registration number at Somefun Ijeun Tuntun, today (Sunday) at 19:55hrs.”
