Verydarkman regains freedom from police custody

Vincent Otse, widely known as Verydarkman, has been released from police custody in Abuja, as confirmed by the Abuja-based rights activist and lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, on Sunday.
The 27-year-old Nigerian, renowned for his involvement in controversial matters, found himself at the centre of attention in recent days.
Otse was detained by the police for several days on allegations of cyberbullying, as stated by former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore.
Expressing dissatisfaction with the arrest, Sowore criticized the police for using the Cybercrime Act as a basis for detaining Otse.
Confirming Otse’s release on Sunday, March 31, Adeyanju took to Twitter and wrote: “After 5 days of back and forth, we have secured VDM’s release. Thank you to everyone who made this happen especially, SOWORE, Kefiano & VDM’s wonderful lawyers.”
