Daniel Daga and Chibueze Izuogu have rejoined Enyimba following their representation of Nigeria at the 2023 African Games held in Accra, Ghana.
Both players featured for the Flying Eagles in the men’s football tournament, with Izuogu netting a goal during the campaign, while Daga showcased his prowess in midfield.
Despite their efforts, the Flying Eagles managed just one victory in three matches, bowing out of the competition at the group stage.
Meanwhile, Enyimba maintained a strong performance in their absence, pushing forward in their quest for a historic 10th Nigeria Premier Football League title.
As they return to club duties, Daga and Izuogu are now in contention to participate in the Abia State Federation Cup final against Abia Warriors scheduled for Sunday.
