Soldiers’ killing: Wanted Delta king surrenders to police

Ikolo Clement, the King of Ewu kingdom, and one of the suspects sought by the Nigerian military, has turned himself in to the authorities.

Clement, recently crowned as the traditional ruler of Ewu Kingdom in Ughelli South Local Government Area, Delta State, was among the eight individuals declared wanted by the Nigerian Army Defence Headquarters.

They were sought in connection with the March 14th incident where 17 soldiers were killed in Okuama Community.

Also among those wanted is a suspected militant leader, Akevwru Daniel Omotegbono, alias Amagbein, who soldiers tracked to the Igbomoturu community in Southern-Ijaw Local Government Area, Bayelsa State, a few days after the incident, but missed apprehending him.

Other individuals listed as wanted include the president-general of Ewu, Prof Ekpekpo Arthur, and Reuben Baru, who gained attention for a viral video explaining
