President Bola Tinubu has expressed strong condemnation for the appalling abductions involving vulnerable victims, particularly internally displaced persons in Borno State and school children in Kaduna State.
Reports emerging on Friday revealed that many of those abducted from the IDP camps in the Ngala local government area of the state include women, boys, and girls. While the exact number of abducted individuals remains unknown, estimates suggest it to be over 200 people.
Additionally, terrorists stormed LGEA Primary School, Kuriga (1), in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Thursday morning, kidnapping approximately 285 pupils and teachers immediately after the school’s morning assembly at around 8:20 am.
In response, President Tinubu, through a statement signed by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, his Special Adviser, has directed security and intelligence agencies to promptly rescue the victims and ensure that justice is served against the perpetrators of these heinous acts.
“I have received a briefing from security chiefs on the two incidents and I am confident that the victims will be rescued. Nothing else is acceptable to me and the waiting family members of these abducted citizens. Justice will be decisively administered,” President Tinubu says.
The President sympathizes with the families of the victims, assuring them that they will soon be reunited with their loved ones.
