The meeting between the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and its stakeholders from Ondo State is underway in Abuja.
The meeting which has in attendance, Oyo State governor Seyi Makinde and 78 PDP leaders from Ondo State, will discuss the possibility of zoning in the November governorship.
PDP acting National Chairman Ambassador Umar Damagun, who addressed the opening session of the meeting, also disclosed that mode of the governorship primary for the election of the party’s candidate, or a consensus candidate, will be discussed.
“We invited you for interactive decision. During the interaction, we will discuss the possibilities of achieving them,” Damagun stated.
He called for open and sincere deliberation, but cautioned against use of offensive language.
“I know there will be many aspirants, I want to reiterate that there will be one candidate at the end day,” the acting National Chairman emphasised.
