Erling Haaland, the prolific goal scorer for Manchester City, has declared Lionel Messi as the greatest player of all time.
Haaland shared his admiration for Messi during a press conference leading up to Manchester City’s Champions League round of sixteen matches against FC Conpengen.
When questioned about his impressive goal-scoring record and Messi winning the Ballon d’Or, Haaland was asked if the Argentine legend needs to retire for him to have a chance at securing the prestigious individual award.
“Good question! I don’t know. He’s won the World Cup…” he said.
“Messi is the, I think”.
