Benue: APC holds stakeholders’ meeting at Akume’s residence

The Benue State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, successfully convened a stakeholders’ meeting at the residence of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, in Makurdi, the state capital. 

This gathering took place after the previous attempt led by Comrade Austin Agada, the party’s leadership, was halted by police operatives last week on the instructions of Governor Hyacinth Alia.

The meeting, held on Saturday and extending into the night, drew participation from APC stakeholders representing all 23 local government areas in Benue State. 

The expansive Judges quarters residence of Akume was bustling with APC supporters, and prominent figures such as the Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Professor Joseph Terlumun Utsev, Sen. Titus Zam of Zone B, and Sen. Emmanuel Memga Udende of Zone A were in attendance.

Other notable figures included Dr. Mathias Byuan, Director Finance and Housing Federal Housing Authority, Hon Dickson Tarkighir of Makurdi/Guma Federal Constituency, Hon Austine Asema Achado of Gwer, Gwer-West House of Assembly members, along with various party leaders from across the state.
