President Bola Tinubu is anticipated to arrive in Ondo State soon for a condolence visit to the family of the late governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, in Owo.
It has been reported that the President will also pay a visit to the Olowo of Owo Kingdom, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye, followed by a trip to see the national leader of the pan-Yoruba socio-political organization, Afenifere, Chief Reuben Fasoranti, in Akure, the state capital.
Accompanying the President on this visit will be the state governor, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, along with some national and state leaders of the All Progressives Congress. Chieftains of Afenifere have already gathered at Fasoranti’s residence, awaiting the President’s arrival.
In preparation for the President’s visit, there is a heightened presence of armed security personnel in Akure and Owo communities.
