Captain Williams Ekong scored from the spot to give the Super Eagles the lead against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in their semifinal of AFCON.
Ekong converted the penalty in the 66th minute after Victor Osimhen was brought down in the South African box.
Ronwen Williams dives to his left, Troost-Ekong side foots the ball down the middle. It’s not the best penalty by any means, but it is in the back of the net and Nigeria are 23 minutes plus injury time away from moving into the final.
