The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) emerged triumphant in all four state constituencies during Saturday’s rerun election in Bauchi State.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Returning Officers for the election officially declared the results on Sunday, highlighting the PDP’s dominance in the affected constituencies.
Prof. Ahmed Abdulkadir, the INEC Returning Officer for Madara Chinade Constituency, announced Dr. Ala Ahmed of the PDP as the winner with 13,920 votes, surpassing Mr. Dantali Ali of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who garnered 9,710 votes.
In Bauchi Central, Prof. Ismail Shehu, the INEC returning officer, declared Jamilu Dahiru of the PDP as the victor with 1,857 votes, while Aliyu Abdullahi of the APC secured 858 votes.
For Ningi constituency, Prof. Ahmed Abdulhamid, the INEC returning officer, disclosed that Abubakar Suleiman of the PDP secured 11,785 votes, defeating Khalid Ningi of the APC, who garnered 339 votes.
In Zungur Galambi state constituency, Prof. Adamu Samaila, the INEC returning officer, declared Yusuf Ahmed of the PDP as the winner with 2,233 votes, while Ibrahim Yuguda of the APC secured the second position with 1,928 votes. (NAN)
