Chinese Woman Leaves $2.8M to Pets, Cites Children's Absence During Illness

An elderly woman in China, identified only by her surname Liu, has rewritten her will, leaving her sizable fortune to her beloved cats and dogs.

Initially, her three children were included in the will, receiving money and property.

However, citing their lack of care during her illness and minimal contact, she redirected her assets to ensure her pets’ future welfare.

A local veterinary clinic is appointed as the caretaker of the inheritance, responsible for tending to the animals and their offspring after her passing.”
